Why Is It Important That Our Pastors, People, and Communities T.H.R.I.V.E.?

Human flourishing provides a fresh apologetic for the faith. A flourishing life can become a powerful testimony that points people to Jesus.

Whole-life, Spirit-empowered discipleship broadens the focus of abundant life and calls the church to care about more than one isolated part of a person’s journey.

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came so that they would have life, and have it abundantly.”
John 10:10

The church is also called to seek the flourishing of communities, not merely maintain internal activity. Discipleship should bless homes, neighborhoods, schools, workplaces, and cities.

“Seek the welfare of the city... for in its welfare you will have welfare.”
Jeremiah 29:7
